About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am a neuroscientist, and I specialize in helping people prevent Alzheimer's disease with science.
I am passionate about helping people improve their memory, increase their lifespan, and prevent dementia.
Aside from that, I love people and I love learning.
ABOUT ME
I am passionate about my mission in life, helping people prevent Alzheimer's disease with science.
Aside from that I love art! I love seeing each city's art museums when I travel.
I love to travel and meet new people and learn about new place.
Traveling is awesome because I see new places, learn new things, and meet new people.
PHILOSOPHY
Giving is a gift, it always feels good when you do it, and it always comes back around.
I am at my best when I am doing work I love with people I love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My roommate got me started 9 years ago when I was in Austin.
We started hosting people.
Then I started traveling doing research for my second book. I travelled across the Midwest and Colorado, coachsurfing while doing research.
It was amazing, one of my favorite memories.
Now that traveling is becoming a thing again, I would like to start traveling more and couchsurfing again.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience was in 2013 when my roommate hosted some couch surfers at our home.
That got me started.
In 2017 I spent 2 months traveling around the Midwest, doing interview for a book I was writing. AND, as a bonus, I got to couch surf when I did it.
I met lots of interesting people couchsurfing, and I learned about the cities I was in, and got the inside scoop on the best restaurants in the city. (My book was on restaurants, and I was interviewing chefs and restaurant owners).
During Covid, my roommate and I hosted 6-10 people in our home who were traveling, passing through town, or needed a place to stay. (It wasn't through the couchsurfing website). That was very rewarding helping people have a nice place to stay.
Interests
I love to read, spend quality time with friends over a tea, good food, potluck dinners with great people, art museums, walking barefoot in the grass, meditation, spending quiet time in nature, seeing new places and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music I like almost everything aside from death metal and country. My favorite is classic rock (Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones). I love jazz (Miles Davis, Horace Silver, John Coltrane) . I also enjoy classical music, especially Mozart. And I am just getting into Acid Jazz and House.
My favorite book is Catch-22; it is laugh-out-loud hilarious.
The Bible and Bhagivad Gita are also very important books to me. I read them regularly to get my day started in the right direction.
I love self-help books and biographies. I enjoy learning from the experiences of others, and biographies are great stories that teach important lessons about life.
My favorite movies are The Big Lebowski, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, and Star Wars (the first 3).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The best thing I have done is cook the dinner for my Dad's 60th birthday party. We had 20 guests and we did a 6-course meal with wine pairings. I am so glad I got to give that gift to my father, and that everyone had such a wonderful time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Whatever you want to call God (The Universe, the Divine Spirit, the Creator of All), God loves you. And I find that when I am most in need, God is there to help me. I just need to close my eyes, take a few deep breaths, and ask God for help. And The Universe always delivers.
Trust that The Universe is working to make your life as wonderful and joyous as possible.
And read as much as you can. We can learn so much from the stories and experiences of others. A good conversation always beats a television show.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a coach, and so conversations often become coaching conversations where I help people get clear on their goals, and then start taking the steps to achieve their goals.
I am also a neuroscientist, and I love sharing the current science on how to improve your memory and prevent dementia.
I also enjoy conscious conversations with my host, and just getting to know them.
