About Me

Nowadays I am a PhD student in International Relations, travelling around the world to participate in conferences, congresses, meetings and, of course, to know new places and historical and cultural sites. My academic and professional background comprehends a BA in Economics and a Master's Degree in Geography. Besides being a student, I work also as Economist and researcher in two different laboratories. I love to read (and buy books from everywhere I visit and stay), go to the cinema and visit the tourist and cultural places and also drink a good coffee. I can speak and clearly understand Portuguese, Spanish, English and French. As my family is of German origin, I can understand the basics of German. I like to have when travelling a good place to sleep, to put my luggage and a good shower, and some places to eat or buy food in the neighbourhood.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Find people and places where I can exchange travel, professional and cultural experiences with local citizens and the money I would spend on accommodation, use to enjoy buying books, try the local food, send postcards.

Interests

As I described on the "About me", I like a lot books, coffee, travel, cultures and histories. I really enjoy going to the cinema when I am travelling, to listen to the local language and the personal perceptions of each one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really like to discuss and talk about the different countries I have visited and have lived, and also we can have a good discussion about the directions of our planet, which may involve politics (I respect all ideologies, worldviews, ideas), culture, literature, diplomacy and even Harry Potter, my favourite series.

I always like to bring a little souvenir from Brazil to my hosts, can be a coffee, a chocolate or a postcard. :-)
