Overview
About Me
Adventurous, energetic and a little bit crazy. Was born in Latvia and I believe myself to be a true Latvian, even though I am probably not. Who know, never taken a genealogy test.
Do note - I am fluent in English and sound like an American - I am not one, but I do seem like one, so to those skittish about going to a non-English speaking host or place- no problems with me, since I'll rock your socks out, and try to help you out as much as possible. Don't worry - Latvia is very easy for English speakers in any case. :)
If you speak Russian - I can try to communicate with you as well, though I'll probably misunderstand a lot of things. If you speak French, Spanish or Finnish then I have no idea how you're reading this other than through Google Translate, in which case - hello!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because meeting people is fun! Plus my cat likes guests.
Interests
Acting, singing and video games. I am a recreational drinker who likes interacting with foreigners - if that counts as an interest. I also love cooking food from various cuisines - especially fatty foods from Northern or Western cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Coldplay, Keane and those sorts of soppy bands.
I really enjoy books such as The Road, 1984 and Brave New World. In general my movie tastes also revolve around the post-apocalypse or apocalyptic scenarios. That's what living in Latvia gets you I guess!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic - a Russian separatist republic located on the border between Moldova and Ukraine. I've also been in Chernobyl. It does not count as one thing, but that's Couchsurfing's fault that they let me ramble on without any limits.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basics of the English language, Eastern European cooking, fine speech manners, and I can show you how easy it is to disappoint people about the stereotype that Eastern Europeans handle their alcohol. I don't.
