About Me

I'm a full blooded Filipino but I was born and raised in Papua New Guinea, the land of the unexpected! I grew up and studied there up until high school, then moved to the Philippines and graduated as an Electronics and Communications Engineer.

I'm very much into hiking and aim to hike up a mountain at least once a month. I've hiked all over the Philippines (mainly in Luzon) as well as internationally - I've hiked up Mt. Kinabalu (in Malaysia), Mt. Fuji in Japan, and Mt. Xueshan in Taiwan. I'm also a recently certified PADI Open Water Diver, which is a big achievement for me because I have a slight fear of the deep blue.

I love to travel for all intents and purposes; to learn new cultures, to meet new people, to be like a tourist, to try out new things etc. Funny, because I'm actually an introvert.

Having grown up outside of the Philippines in my earlier years, I have become very appreciative of different cultures, traditions, religions etc. so I have no problem adjusting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm actually an introvert and very well-kept to myself so I'm not sure either HAHA. But I do want to learn new things and meet new people to help me break this boundary.

Interests

I love playing video games (I'm a huge Nintendo fan), I enjoy staying fit by running and joining fun-runs and marathons, and of course I love hiking. I'm also a scuba diver and a skin diver (just started)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love R&B and Soul music (and branches of it). I also like listening to Jazz, Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap, and even some Classical.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo hiked Taiwan's second highest mountain, Mt. Xueshan

What I Can Share with Hosts

Right now the best I can share with hosts are the experiences of the mountains I've hiked, and my life growing up in Papua New Guinea. To be honest, there is still so much more for me to discover about myself and the world around me.

Australia, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
