I'm a very passionate and adventurous young woman. I moved to the Netherlands in January 2017 to be part of an cultural exchange program to broaden my knowledge on different types of cultures and lifestyles. I enjoy travelling and meeting new people and I'm very hard working. I'm very easy going and down to earth and I always know how to have a good time. My passion in life is to teach but also to learn new things every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be part of an cultural exchange program where I can travel to different countries and learn first hand about the certain lifestyles and cultures of the people living in that country, as well as teaching them about my culture and historical background of South Africa.

Interests

My passion is to teach children and to be fortunate enough to help those less fortunate. I have a very big interest in makeup artistry and would like to persue my dream one day to become a professional makeup artist. I love cooking and baking, it's something I enjoy doing and also found that I'm good at. Travelling gives me the opportunity to create new adventurous and make new memories, as well as getting to learn more about the history and cultures of that country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love EDM and trance music but also have a soft spot for golden oldies such as Queen, Simon and Garfunkel and U2. I always enjoy watching a good movie such as The Green Mile, Titanic, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction or The Notebook. And also some rom coms like Pitch Perfect and Bridget Jones's Diary. My favourite books are Atonement and Jane Eyre.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Teach them about my culture and history of my country and cooking them some of our legendary and popular South African meals. I can even teach them some Afrikaans if their interested.
