Overview
About Me
Okay well basically I study physics at UCL, although I think it's pretty terrible and would much rather just say fuck it and become a mountain hermit for the rest of my life. Since that's not really an option though, I try and get through it by balancing other passions like photography and climbing (both of which are likely to be the main reasons for my travels, on top of just seeing places!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As mentioned before, travelling is something I've always wanted to do yet have never really had the opportunity to try before university. Now that uni is fully underway, I'm kind of 110% hooked, and this is a fantastic way to meet local people in the great places I'd love to visit instead of awkwardly sharing a dorm with someone who doesn't talk to you in a hostel or god forbid the cold, lonely and expensive realm of hotel rooms.
Interests
It may not be totally relevant but I'm also a sprinter, having done athletics and competitions for a few years. While it's not my main sport anymore, I'd be lying if I said I didn't still love it so I'm totally down to train with people or go on longer runs around the city if that sounds groovy.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music::: Jimi Hendrix, Witch, Foals, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, The Rolling Stones, Alt-J, Gary Clark Jr., J.J. Cale, Howlin' Wolf, Kool and the Gang - basically anything funky, good classic rock tunes or absolutely anything remotely bluesy and I'm there. In the right setting I'm also down for some good chill house, as well as big beat classics such as the likes of Groove Armada.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to pick between being the 3rd man on the moon or my stint as Secretary General for the UN but I'll give it a think. In the meantime, sue me :))((:
Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to get anyone into climbing who otherwise hasn't tried it before, or maybe teach a few image processing tips to anybody getting in to photography and photo editing. Likewise, I'd love to learn these things from others more skilled than me, as well as doing my best to learn their language.
What I Can Share with Hosts
-My life problems
-My dry sense of humour
-A huge passion for the outdoors and nature
-A very laid back, chilled out approach to life
-A hand with the dishes
