ABOUT ME

Ok, I try: I am a quite relaxed easygoing person with a tendency to laugh. I try to get the most of the day living in the presence though I am dreamy too. I am a Homo Ludens, a playing man. I like fooling around and having fun. I don't take life or myself too serious. I am an open-minded 21-year-old German student of Islamic science. What else, hmmmm... a lot. Just ask me :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in India and it has been absolutely amazing. I relished my host's hospitality and I wish to host others one day as well as they did.

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of things. Of course exploring the world is on the top: I love to travel, speak to all kind of people (ok, honestly not all, but most of them), exchange ideas, share experience, thoughts and jokes and couchsurfing fits this perfectly.
Since I am a student of Islamic science I am very intrigued by the Islamic culture, history, the Arabic language etc. But other parts of the world fascinate me as well as for instance India in which I lived for one year.
Besides that, I love music. I play the guitar, played in two bands and listen to music whenever possible.
I relish books, do martial art (Karate, Tai Chi and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and try to write a novel.
And above all meeting friends ;)!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, mostly progessive metal (Symphony X, Dream Theater, Tool, Opeth etc.) and progessive rock (Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Gentle Giant etc.)but also classic music (European and Indian) and some French and Arabic Hip Hop.
I love good movies with a message as Fight Club, Into the wild, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Pan's Labyrinth etc. But I am actually more a series guy watching game of thrones, Dexter etc.
Last but not least I relish good books. My interest covers actually everything but some of my favourite books are Nietzsche's writings, Songlines (Bruce Chatwin), The God of small things (Arundhati Roy), History Books and a lot of other books I always forget to mention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching karate in India for one year. That has changed my life. Indescribable experience!!! Riding down the Himalaya by bicycle. Studying Islamic science, discovering the depth of the Arabic language.

I'm open for everything, anything you can share. In exchange I can offer love, respect, understanding, time and lots of laughter :)
Maybe if I stay longer we could also share skills as guitar, some martial arts or the art of telling jokes (I am honestly quite miserable in it).
