Hi! My name is Robin. I love to travel, meet new people and learn all about their cultures, cuisines and languages! I am a big believer in slow travel: there is so much to explore on a lower pace and closer to home.

I also enjoy hiking and being in nature. Even though I do not have a lot of space, I try to keep a green and bee-friendly balcony. I always love to host the local bee population when they want to come flower-surfing :).

I work as a journalist in The Netherlands and I really love my job. It's a childhood dream come true. It is an absolute honor to be trusted to tell people's stories everyday!

I used to couchsurf a lot when I was stuying. I loved the platform as I met so many nice, warm people everywhere. I am giving it another try now!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As prices are rising everywhere due to inflation, many people are on a budget when it comes to their much-needed time off. Together with my colleague Tim, I am exploring how to go on a proper holiday that does not break the bank, but instead gives you a sense of community and connection.
