About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being part of a tribe that cares for others and mother earth

ABOUT ME

Hey there,

This is a profile for two - Robin & Sharone. We're doing our part to save internet pages.

We kissed New York farewell last June and set off to travel for a year. We've been fortunate to explore and participate in work trades in Brazil, California, and Hawaii. We've helped with projects that range from permaculture (in jungle and urban settings) to advertising (non-profit focused on holistic healing, urban homestead, surf camp) to animal rescues.

We're excited for the adventures that lie ahead as we bike from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean, traversing SoCal, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida!

Here's a bit more about us - and we'd love to hear from you!

Robin has a diverse background in multi-media production, storytelling, conservation, and disaster relief. She's worked with leading organizations, including Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO, Procter & Gamble, General Electric, and All Hands Volunteers. While Robin generally resides in New York, her clinically diagnosed wanderlust makes her a moving target. She enjoys traveling anywhere and everywhere, learning from different cultures, and anything that contributes to nurturing community and protecting our environment.

With work experience in multiple agency settings, Sharone has an understanding of what it takes to be in the business of advertising. He is an Art Director from Miami Ad School of New York, with a Marketing Management and Business Leadership Degree from Virginia Tech. Sharone has lived in and traveled furthest stretches of the US. He's working to continue experiencing culture through immersion with his recent ventures abroad. Fresh, honest, and passionately curious, he finds it difficult to turn down an opportunity to experience the new.

PHILOSOPHY

Our aim is to live consciously (be present) and focus our energy on work that nurtures and honors the earth. We're deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from others along our journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love the spirit of Couchsurfing and the community it's created. We've been fortunate to share our home with other travelers / friends and met others that have done the same.

We enjoy hosting as much as sharing someone else's home. We think it's important to have a balance between spending time together (there's nothing better than a "local guide" or "not for tourist recommendations" and going off to explore by ourselves.
