Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed using this site once before and it was a great experience.

For the past two years, I have lived in a community house with ten roommates and many visitors passing through. I enjoy meeting new people and learning more through others.

Interests

Dancing. Being outside. Children's books, poetry, storytelling, sunshine, learning how to build things, walking, running, yoga, cooking, eating. Squishy-soft blankets. Learning, practicing and teaching primitive skills, like bow drill, shelter building, edible plants, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite living poet: Maurice Manning.

I worked at an independent bookstore in Asheville for a few years and my book collections outgrowing its housing.

I liked Grasshopper Jungle, Ghana Must Go, & The Signature of All Things.

TV Show: Bomb Girls

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching how fast the blooms have come out this spring. Our weeping cherries happened over night!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm just beginning to learn to play the trumpet and am seeking folks to learn from. (I don't own one yet, so if you have one I could tootle on, that would be exciting!)

I can teach wild edible plants, at least in the Eastern US.
I can teach you how to make cordage and coach you in friction fire-making.

I love to share dancing and poetry and children's books and food.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook. I can tell stories. I could share a poem or two of my own and/or recite "The Pobble Who Has No Toes" for you.

Where to go in Asheville, NC (I've lived there for the past 8 years)

Countries I’ve Visited

Ireland, Italy, United States
