I am an avid learner. Recently fell in love (apart from my lovely girlfriend) to computers and programming. Currently studying Biochemistry and participating on computational protein engineering research activities in Loschmidt Laboratories as undergrad student.

I love listening to people talking about what they love doing, be it knitting or rocket science. Also there is nothing better then a well told story.
I also try to enjoy the little things that make your day.

I am not a party animal. Usually I am at the quiet one in the crowd, although I like to have a beer or wine (mind the or, not and :) ) and a friendly chat.

Also I sleep on futon bed, so I dont even need a bed or sofa! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The upside of not being able to afford luxury hotels is that you get to meet all kinds of like-minded people and (un)ordinary places, which often remain hidden to conventional toursits. Is there anything more exciting?

Unfortunately as I live in shared student appartment I am not able to host yet, but I'd like to meet you and hear your stories and possibly take you around Brno, or Ostrava.

Interests

I used to do a lot of rock climbing (Switzerland, Italy, Austria, but also traditional Czech sandstone).
Recently I found a passion in the world of programming, linux and data analysis.
I also like cooking and eating vegetarian cuisine and baking a sourdough bread.

I like to play board games (Chess, Go, Carcassone,...), Texas-Hold'em Poker (I used to crush online low-mid stakes Heads-ups!)

I like to go for adventures, but at the end of the day I enjoy peace and quiet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sometimes I listen to classics (strings), sometimes chill-out beats, and the other day I was coding in Django framework listening to... Django Reinhardt, so I don't really have a strong preference.

I like books though. Recently enjoyed Jo Nesbo and other Northern detective stories. My all time favourite is probably Noah Gordon's The Physician and Shaman.

If I had to pick a single movie it would be The Last Samurai

I have learned to code (not finished yet!) in Python and made a website (www.mednemeth.cz) for our family beekeeping "business".
