About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To cycle around the world!

ABOUT ME

Grew up in quiet village. Loads of sheep and cows about. Lots of mud in the winter. Lots of grass in the summer. Got older & went to a big city, London, to make films. Discovered that no one was true in the city, that money mattered & creativity didn't!

So, decided to leave England in 2011 to cycle to around the world from London to NYC with my laptop and camera and a whole bunch of ideas. This is what I am doing right now. Am free, am on the road and am out in the world trying to keep moving, keep creative, meet people, see things, take photos and write as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Be an example the change you want to see in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be honest. I am riding round the world for charity on a limited budget, so I am asking for a lot of help from people whilst not actually hosting myself. I can take awesome photos of hosts and tell them stories from the road, great with web design, english teaching, but until this adventure I am the one doing the asking.. hope thats ok. One day I will host in England.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back in Greece I did a few couch surfs in small villages with a couple and with some students. Real fun, stayed a day or two more than intended cos had gone on so well with them. Really enjoyed it, but the reason I have done only a little on my journey round the world is because its very difficult to organise couch surfing whilst on the road with the bike with no wifi. I would love to do more.

Interests

Anything creative. Anything outdoors. Anything thoughtful. Obsessed with photography, design & film. Originally wanted to become a director but in recent years have begun to write up fiction and short stories. Love getting outdoors, adventuring, getting into the wild and getting creative. Film-addict. Music-obsessed. Astrology. Psychology. Am down to earth, practical and to the point.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydived in new zealand, camped in the himalayas, canoed down the mekong river, lived in a forest with eco-nomads for a week to film a documentary, slept on a tiny fishing trawler boat in the freezing north sea also filming a documentary, ran the most dangerous mountain in England, ate fish head soup and chickens foot broth with chinese locals on the laos border &, most stupid of all, swam down white water rapids with nothing but a piece of foam board! Oh... & one day I'd like to say I made it round the world by bike!

Teach, Learn, Share

Photography. Cookery (have been a chef in various places). I can kind of play the guitar! Can teach English too! If you can't ride a bike I can get you cycling in half an hour! Instagram? Climbing?
