I am a film director and composer, hailing originally from Littleton, Colorado. I grew up in the mountains and love the outdoors. I am also an avid fan of pop culture and art and have enjoyed living in some of the western world's most interesting cities, including Paris, Prague, Berlin, and New York.

I spent much of my twenties traveling, mostly in Europe. While traveling, I played in multiple bands and helped my foreign friends produce records. I spent a year in Berlin learning German while I worked on scripts and made friends. I owe so much to my experiences traveling, and now that I am planted firmly and permanently in LA, I am excited to be able to give something back to the traveling community and to others who are seeking experiences in independence.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Throughout my own travels, I have reveled in the kindness of strangers, and some of my most memorable experiences in life have come from sharing the company of locals in distant places. I owe much to those who were kind and hospitable to me when I was traveling, and I am excited to be able to give that back now that I live permanently in a place I love and know a lot about.

Interests

As a filmmaker and composer, my passions are movies and music. In any given day, I spent at least 2 hours listening to music, and I generally go to the movies around 3 times a week.

When I am not listening or watching, I enjoy random conversations, philosophizing, and going on spontaneous adventures. My ideal leisure night is slowly sipping cocktails with a small group of people and making interesting conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I followed Radiohead around Europe for a month. I made friends at every show that I still keep in touch with, and I visited many of them in their home countries years later.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a filmmaker in Los Angeles, I have a front seat to some of the most interesting things that go on in this city. I welcome any guests who are interested in movies or how movies are made to ask any questions they might have, and if there is an opportunity, I love taking people on set as well.

Apart from movie-related things, I have done a lot of traveling and soul-searching myself, and I enjoy sharing what I have learned with anyone seeking advice or perspective. I am also a good listener for anyone who wants to share their stories.
