About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living in Taiwan for awhile, saving up money to bike through Europe.

ABOUT ME

-I am happiest when I am outside
-very easy going
-i like to live by the philosophy that everything works out in the end, and if it hasn't than its not the end
-I enjoy people who can find a reason to smile, or create a reason to smile
-I wear a fair amount of secondhand clothes
-And I really like soft cheeses (Camembert!)
-I've made wine in my basement
-I love throwing frisbees, darts, footballs and playing pretty much any sport
-I prefer traveling with as few plans as possible
-I tend to feed of the energy of those around me

PHILOSOPHY

"Don't let comfort get in the way of living"

"There are always flowers for those who want to see them"

"All journeys have destinations of which the traveller is unaware"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I bicycled around France for 4 months and had an unreal time with the friends I met through Couchsurfing and random encounters. Now I'm Taiwan.
I've got two roommates. One is a student and wakes up early, while the other is an English teacher like myself and works around 1pm. I work a little bit later at 5pm so, depending on what kind of traveller you are I can guide you around or whatever. I'm pretty laid and you can do whatever you want, but be conscious of tired roommates.
Our neighbourhood is the old city of Kaohsiung. Our apartment is nestled between a mountain on one side and a small harbour on the other. Its a 10 minute walk from the MRT, cijin harbour ferry, Martyr shrine and Sun Yet Sen University.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few spots in France, and when I have a couch in Taiwan I will be open for business!

Interests

-playing Sports (anything, especially if a frisbee is involved)
-walking/strolling/bicycling
-chatting while drinking coffee/beer/wine/chocolate milk
-I enjoy cooking and would love to share
-trying and learning new things!
-dancing
-being an idiot

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched fireworks from the top of an abandoned 20 story Malt Silo on Toronto's lakeshore. I cycled over 2700 kilometers one summer in France, wearing sandals the whole time.
