About Me

CURRENT MISSION

- Meet people and have experiences together in Tokyo and Japan, enjoy the local lifestyle
- I recently came to Japan and I'm free to explore Tokyo and surroundings on weekends. I study Japanese, willing to practice
- I like to experience places and situations with people, so we can connect throught exploring the places, food and sightseeing. Also I like alone activities such as reading, studying, playing music.

ABOUT ME

I'm a quite excited on culture exchange, a feature developed in me through my passion for languages (for now, I study Japanese and Chinese). I started soon learning Japanese by myself, and it opened a door of curiosity about languages and other places lifestyles. I like to know how other people think and feel, how they deal with life questions, how they solve problems, and how they express themselves in the world.

I'm moved by music, participating in a popular music chorus at Unicamp and Samba drum school with União Altaneira and Estrela D'Alva Samba School. I'm a very open-minded person, being a proud and socially active LGBT 🏳️‍🌈 (let's visit the LGBT quarters around the world together and grab some beers!). I like both parties (went multiple times to Techno parties and Matsuris) and relaxing places inside nature.

I like to read (despite not having too much free time nowadays) about Thelema, Chaos Magick, history, literature, and Thoth Tarot, whose cards I think are so beautiful paintings (despite being skeptical). During my trips, I like to see the famous places (probably I'll go to the oldest places first due to my love for ancient history) but also do activities with locals and feel the contemporary atmosphere and lifestyle (that's because it adds me lots of new perspectives).

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you wish will be the whole of the law.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in Couchsurfing through the meetings and parties, about languages or not, taking visitors to interesting places in Sao Paulo and Campinas. I had opportunities to support events in couchsurfing Brazil, for example the weekly meeting at Augusta and take CSers to night parties. I made a lot of friends with CS, which I first used in Canada for hiking and social events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined CS in 2012, during a six month internship in Montreal. I used CS for travelling, camping, hiking, meeting friends and support when living there. I made lots of good friends that lasts till today, and was presented to incredible places because of them. I had the opportunity of hosting only some times for friends I did in CS, and also due to living in small rooms due to my studies out of my city. But of course I will share my place as soon as I live in a spacious place. I can support CS in organising meetings, gathering people to walk around, give suggestions about travelling and support travellers everywhere about feeling well when travelling.

Interests

Languages, History, Technical stuff, books, Thelema, learning and teaching, education, techno, drinking a bit in a interesting place

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music styles, from folk music, samba to electronics. I love a variety of books, mainly for personal development. I'm not watching so many movies due to not having time. I rarely watch movies, but you can just send me a recommendation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a scout leader in a scout group and had the chance of lots of camping and nature related activities. It was an incredible time when I learned lots of informal educational stuff. I feel very proud about the beautiful path people there built for life, and contributing a bit for their education. I love and I'm very worried about education, which I believe is the solely path for real freedom.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to excel in music and singing practise, how to have organizational skills for you travels, and how to enhance some learning techniques. I'd love to learn to do things I'm bad at, for example cooking and preparing special drinks. I like to learn social and organizational skills, and new perspectives on solving daily life problems.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For now I'm not staying at someone's place but would enjoy a lot of hangouts and organize one day trips. Living in a small room does not able me to host travellers in the moment.
