I am smart, funny, passionate, and personable. I am married and I have an adult daughter, either of whom might be traveling with me. I like trains, especially steam trains. One of my life goals is to ride a steam train in every state of the US, and also on every continent in the world. (Are there steam trains in Antarctica?) Sometime I want to take a train from Lisbon to Vladivostok, though perhaps not all at once. :-) I also want to circumnavigate most of the continental US by driving US Highway 5 North to Seattle, 90 East to Boston, 95 South to Jacksonville, 10 West to Los Angeles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took off with 3 friends in a van to go see the 2017 total solar eclipse in North America. We ended up in Idaho in the Boise National Forest doing primitive camping: no toilets, no water, no fire. The eclipse was awesome! Amazing! I can't quite describe it. And I'd do it all over again.
