About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the Balkans, i.e. enjoying the good life!

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going person, who has travelled to many different corners of our lovely little planet. I especially enjoy spending those long evenings at the dinnertable with friends, partying till the early morning - preferably Balkan-style and having a gorgeous cup of coffee in the morning sun.
The last 2.5 years I lived in Bangladesh. Before that I was working for an NGO in Bonn (Germany) and since September 2013 my wife and I are living in Albania.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Through friends in Germany I already met many different Couch Surfers - Bonn was a bit of a CS hotspot. Where I was living in Bangladesh it was not possible to get actively involved in CS activities, but now that I have moved to Albania I am very much looking forward to meeting fellow CS-ers and share a drink, a laugh and a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some excellent CS barbeques on the Rhine in both Bonn and Basel. Couch-surfed in Italy (Torino) back in 2010

Interests

Listening to This American Life while running, watch HBO series such as Treme and the Wire, the good old Balkan party/ russendisko, nice slow food, drinking Belgian beers, anything with the word "silly" (games, jokes, people, dress-up parties)
