I am a very energetic, cheerful, and positive person. I like to think I'm pretty open, honest, and progressive. I love adventure and anything new and exciting! Though I'm new to the world of backpacking, I am LOVING it! I am constantly amazed by the kindness of others, and their willingness to share and teach. I love that travelling seems to slow time down; learning and seeing so much! ->> (Thank you Thomas and Arturo for that conversation :) - these are people I met during my first choice surfing experience.)

My partner, Thomas and I are currently travelling Central America. We plan to stay 6 months, starting in Mexico and visiting Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica before heading back to Canada from Panama. We are doing this trip with little money, and I have found that it has only enriched my journey - I am getting to know more people than I might have if I had more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This seems like an amazing community, and I want in :p ! I love people, and find that some pretty amazing things come from sharing a space with others. I'd love to get the scoop from you, a local, and avoid tours. Also, to be honest, I am on a tight budget, so the low cost is a draw :p .

Interests

Parkour! In Toronto, Ontario I love going to the Monkey Vault to be surprised at what my body can do!

I love the outdoors! Most of the work I do apart from art deals with trees. I find them fascinating. I love learning about flora and fauna.

Adventure sports! I work part time for an adventure-sport company in Canada. We take people waterfall repelling, ice climbing, rock climbing, and surfing!

New cultures! I love broadening my perspective and finding new ways to see the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes are pretty eclectic; I like almost everything. Indie rock and electronic/dance are go-to's though. And anything with good lyrics and intense emotion!

The His Dark Materials chronicles, Ysabel, and biographies are some examples of books I love.

Spirited Away and Lorenzo's Oil are favourite movies. Mad Max is pretty sweet too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love good conversation: I would love to share my stories and opinions and listen to yours! I could also cook my family's favourite recipe - eggs Benedict - one night for dinner! I could also teach some French!

I can be sparse and give you space when you need it, and hang out and be a friend if that works! I'm respectful and clean too :) .
