I live each day as it comes, and enjoy spending time in nature and with my gorgeous friends, and I am fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the world. I'm transitioning out of a very busy work life and into...? well its evolving...I love music, sailing, surfing, yoga, good food and company, preferably all together!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love the spontaneity, trust and possibility that couchsurfing opens up. It's a fantastic thing to meet as strangers and leave as friends...and how such brief meetings can be so uplifting and memorable.

Interests

sailing, surfing, swimming and other fish like activities, yoga, being in nature and finding ways to protect it, red earthscapes, fresh rain in a forest, getting lost in cities, fresh rasberries, rocks, big mountains, photographing buildings and small bits of buildings, unpretentious people and places, soulful voices, drawing, singing, laughing until it hurts, dancing, bushwalking, campfires, starry nights, sneaky afternoon naps, reading, sewing and renovating clothes,travelling far to see buildings that inspire me, meditation, swanning around art galleries and coffee spots, planting and growing things i can eat and smell, languages and making it up as i go along, improvised cooking especially for french people, helping others to see how gorgeous they are ...and so much more

Music, Movies, and Books

So many films! a few I could watch again would be...Where the wild things are, Into the Wild, Milk, como agua para chocolate, red dog and surfer movies of course!! I love books and a good story..one i can recommend is "Cod, A biography of a fish that changed the world" .Music .. I love smallish music festivals - the dreaming, woodford, mullum, cygnet ... I love dancing and singing and am into all sorts of music.. funk, soul, blues, rock, gypsy, flamenco, folk, indie, traditional, devotional... so long as it makes me wanna move, cry or smile..or all three.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

sailing in a gorgeous 15-20 knot breeze at dusk when a pod of humpback whales, much bigger than our boat, surfaced all around us... awesome, thrilling and magic!
and...
lived for a year in the Republic of Moldova and made it out with my liver.

Teach, Learn, Share

so many things to learn and share, but most of all I hope we share a laugh and a nice meal together. Although, if you play guitar i might ask you to teach me something as I have secret dreams of becoming a rock star !!
