About Me

CURRENT MISSION

be a rainbow warrior!

ABOUT ME

twentysomething years old student. What did I study?
Marine Biology/Oceanography
and now... well. let me explain....

Now I'm studying the philosphy and history of science with sociology and social psychology.

I want to know what makes people interested and curious about science? Is it education? is it nature, or nurture?

Most science is gouvernment/state funded. That means the tax payer is the scientists' money-monkey.
Do we have a duty to transfer our knowledge to the general public? Public education and awareness of science and science communication is what I study/do/believe in.

Other research interests of mine are: Cyborg Antropology; Environmental Philosophy and Future Studies

Unless I get to talk about my reserach I'm the most boring person ever; but when people ask me, I have entertained entire pubs on my own. :)
I guess it show's that live for my studies; that I live for my research? But not to worry. I guess I have many interests and I am a person curious about the world and people.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd consider myself to be a new ager..;) Postmodern Scientist on the hunt for knowledge. :D
Curiosity is what makes the world go round.
-- and if the world don't go, I'll run around it.

A few quotes:
'The show must go on!'

'A good plan today, is better
than the perfect plan tomorrow'

and my favourite and dearest quote ever:
'... you show me who ain't fucked up' =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Whenever I'm in England I'm happy to host anybody at pretty much any time.

I've currently got a flat in Lancaster, where there is enough place for people to crash.
Just drop me a line and I'm sure we can figure something out! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed and hosted exiting people. :)
None of them to be forgotten, all of them interesting, honest, exiting and somewhat friends. :)

Interests

Studying and qualified in

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of my fieldwork with the Sami community I was privileged enough to see the roundups myself.
How exciting that was! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I could teach passion! :D

Generally, I tend to have a slightly different angle and approach things.
I'm a really good coach, particularly academic stuff. Students always come to me to bounce their ideas of my head and I help them to develop their projects, from thesis to essay.

Have you ever seen HouseMD? Well, I'm your Wilson, and you're house!
