To improve my comunity of Rocinha by doing positive projects that help others!

ABOUT ME

I am back home in Rocinha where I was born and raised. I had the oportunity to live in the USA for a while but did not like so much this experience.

My goal within two years is to open a Volunteer house for all the volunteers to stay while they contribute with varios NGO's in Rocinha. I want to buy a place where I can have Couchsurfers come and stay (for free of course) for a few days and learn about favela culture. I am sure everybody know by now that I LOVE my home that is ROCINHA.

Living in a favela is dificult and hard, but it is what I really only know.
I am never used drugs or drinking (even beer), but I can still party with guarana or my acai! I like meeting openminded people who are not rascist, classist or who will judge me becase of the place I live. Many Brazilians judge or have bad ideas about favelas becase we have drug dealers who live here, but the bigger problem is the USERS..they make this job for the dealers. But my life needs to go on becase I cannot control places, people or things..I can only be in charge of me and how I live my ife.

I have started a tour company here in Rocinha and we are 100% favela owned and operated by residents here in Rocinha.

PHILOSOPHY

My life now has meaning becase i am helping to improve peoples lives..If I die tomorrow I want people to say that I made a diference in their lives.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At some point if people have plans to want to help or volunteer in Rocinha, I will have a place for them to stay. Working now on saving my money for a great place to bring Couchsurfers! I am very PROUD to live here in Rocinha. I love my favela very much and I will never leave here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had many people help me in my travels and this has contribute to my love of travelling and meeting new people learning new cultures. I have couch surfed before but not with any members of this site..I have hosted more than I have surfed. I dont travel much anymore becase my work keeps me busy.
