About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to have a great time in as many places I can

ABOUT ME

I'm a person who's really interested in travelling, mostly because of the people I know I'm going to meet along the way. It's nice to visit different places, but the experiences and the people you meet are what matters the most, in my opinion.
I was born and grew up in Córdoba, a city in Argentina known by its amazing and generous people. This year, after finishing my studies there, I had the chance to come to the United States as a Teaching Assistant for one year and I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the people who live here. I've been here for only three months but so far these have been the best months of my life. I recently had the opportunity to visit NYC and it blew my mind. Now I know I just don't ever want to stop travelling :)

PHILOSOPHY

Good experiences enrich your life and make you happy, but you can also take advantage of bad experiences, because those are the ones that teach you some of the most important things in life - Like never trying to boil an egg in the microwave. Seriously, NEVER.
I just try to go with the flow and enjoy everything life gives me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to find cool places to visit and meet lots of interesting people while I'm there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed on other people's couches for the first time this year and all I can say is that it is the best way of travelling. Not only do you get to visit beautiful places but you also meet a lot of amazing people along the way.
The fact that they are willing to open their house to complete strangers just to be in contact with other cultures and ideas already makes them interesting.
Even though I have only done this 4 times, I have enjoyed couchsurfing a lot.

Interests

Sooo many things: the arts, dance, music, travelling, literature, translation, drawing, painting, singing, cooking (only desserts - I'm terrible at everything else), trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Pride and Prejudice, Moulin Rouge, The Matrix, El orfanato (Spain) and many many more (huge movie fan here).
Music: McFly, Coldplay, U2, Oasis, David Bowie, Muse, among many others - I also like Latin American music.
Books: My favorite one is One Hundred Years of Solitude by G. G. Marquez

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not amazing but it's one of the most enjoyable parts of trips. When I visited NYC, most days I would return to my hotel really late at night after a long but amazing day in the city. Every single night I met a different person on the subway because people like to make friends there! At first I was afraid because I had heard stories about creepy people on the subway at night, but I realized that a big city can be full of nice and kind people - and most of the people I met on the late night subway have been super helpful and shared some of the best lifestories with me!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: if you travel with others, you have to know that everyone is different and you have to learn to make concessions sometimes. And if you do, it's very likely that you'll learn something new from the others!
LEarn: I'd love to learn a lot more about the customs of people from lots of different cultures and their views on life.
