My real name is Daniel Rojas, but since I start traveling 3 years ago (January 2013) I like how sound “RockDaniRoll Around The World” so I start using it.

I was living in Bogota, Colombia doing pretty good, but I decide that I need a change, so I decide to go to China to train Kung Fu for 3 month. After this 3 months I really enjoy it, so extended it for 1 year.

After that year, I decide to start traveling around the world so I create this thing of “RockDaniRoll Around The World” that is about Love, Peace, Freedom and Rock and Roll trying to make a better world and finding ways to inspire people so we all together can open our eyes and see what really matters.

Normally to each country that I travel I try to takes some photos and record my adventure, so in some how when i posted I'm sharing my experience with my family, my friend and with the world.

You can take a look of these videos on youtube or see my photographs in Flickr. In the beginning I start recording just with my phone but after one year of traveling i decide to buy some better equipment to try to makes the videos better. You can see how they have been improving.

In this 3 years of travel i have been in:
China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Indonesia, Russia, Turkey, Greece.

And before, when i was living in Colombia i visit:
Canada, United States, Dominic Republic, Panama, Venezuela.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I decide to start CouchSurfing after 3 years of traveling becouse a few reason:

1. I didn’t believe that was a good thing, but after meeting a lot of people and talking with some couch surfers, I know that I was wrong, so now I’m giving a try to myself.

2. I don’t like to bother anyone, so normally I stay in hostels, guesthouses or I change my work for food and a place to stay, but after traveling so long, I have been crossing roads with people that they allow me to stay in there houses for nothing (random people, no part of this community, families in villages, or friends of a friend of a friend, for example.), just becouse they want to help me, becouse they want to have a nice conversation, sharing some time and becoming really good friends.
So after that kind of situations I believe in this community and in this system.

3. I was not prepare to travel this long, so my money have been almost finish, so this is a good way to safe some and also an amazing way to meet a new people.

4. Becouse now i have a lot to share.

Design, movies, photography, martial arts like Shaolin Kung Fu, TaiChi, Qigong, Sanda. In general I like everything associated with movement.
I'm searching for a better connection of body and mind.
Dance and extreme sport i really like.
In general i like everything, always open to know more.

I don’t have favorites, i just enjoy things that are well done, with effort and quality.
I prefer rock, blues and reggae music, but i listen and enjoy every kind of music.

Life is amazing, so everyday is amazing for me.
I’m proud of a lot of things that i have been doing and creating, so in general i’m proud of my life doing what I want and in what i believe.
