About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Acceptance into the master's program "Project Dragonfly" offered through Miami University in Ohio and partnered with the Denver Zoo.

ABOUT ME

Well I'm just another lost soul in search of meaning and a purposeful life, soon-to-be-studying (hopefully) the field of wildlife conservation. My goal is to one day settle on a huge chunk of land somewhere in the middle of nowhere so I can start a volunteer-based wildlife sanctuary complete with its own sustainable farm in order to help spread awareness, improve preparedness and strengthen community during this uphill battle we currently face in today's changing environment.
Born and raised in sunny San Diego, San Francisco has been considered "home" for the past 8 years although right now I'm looking to relocate either to Denver, Co. or Monterey, Ca. As of late, my bike has been my only source of transportation however I've gots some major car envy for all yew Subaru-drivin' folk out there. I've been known to shark a few pool tables from time to time but still nothing beats a good ol' fashioned nature documentary curled up on the couch with a snuggly cat and hot cup of mate!

WORDS OF INSPIRATION

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover"- Mark Twain

"In any situation, the best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing." - Theodore Roosevelt

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to ride that wave if/whenever possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed and hosted surfers in the past and have had nothing but positive experiences. Let's keep that cycle rolling.

Interests

I pretend to play the piano, violin, and pixie harp--sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't--and with the exception to Walmart country, top 40 pop and 80's/90's baby-making music, I listen to and LOVE all musics. What i lack in musicianship I make up for in a special interest/appreciation for anything different; put my iPod on shuffle and consider yourself warned. Kayaking, photography, street art, music shows, antiques, mission burritos with spicy salsa verde, indian food, billards, games with good company, after hour conversation over a bottle of fernet, animals and the great outdoors are all things that bring me joy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took it to the next level and then did it over again
i.e. Belligerently drifted my way down the most crooked street in San Francisco (Vermont, NOT Lombard) while riding a big wheel, consequently breaking my tibia and fibula after my second failed attempt as result. Needless to say I did not win the race.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Laos, Mexico, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Chile, United States
