I’m a chill down-to-earth kind of guy that is interested in a myriad of things. Friends have nicknamed me the “Zen Master” because I usually just go with the flow. I was born and raised in New York City but deep down inside I’ve always felt like a country boy (minus the country boots or country music) at heart. I admire how things were done in the old days. You know when skilled craftsmen and craftswomen (cobblers, blacksmiths, woodworkers, etc) made things that lasted forever. I wish those days would make a comeback but I would settle for just more people handwriting letters in lieu of text messages . I’ve worked for judges, was a Manny (male nanny) for a bit, bartended in NYC and worked as a farmhand on an organic farm in Maryland. Currently I’m traveling the world trying to see it all.

In our modern age the way we generally meet people is so limiting. We mostly meet new people through school, work or through friends and family. The end result tends to be a small interconnected social circle of friends, with a good number falling under the acquaintance category. Couchsurfing shatters that paradigm! It greatly expands how we meet new people and pushes us beyond our normal comfort level for how we let new people into our lives. To me that is a beautiful thing.

兴趣

Really interested in getting crafty. Would love to someday learn how to sew and how to blacksmith. Oh and maybe how to make furniture. But right now I spend whatever free time I have reading books and working on my photography skills. Would love to go around snapping photos with any photographers out there and see if we can learn from each other.
