I signed up a couple of years ago and haven't really participated. I'd like to change that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed with friends or friends of friends, in Africa, Europe, and Asia. It's nice to have the company and the local perspective.

Interests

I love to read, especially nonfiction: science, politics. I'm a big fan of movies, but not of television.

Books:
Nonfiction: anything by Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, Fareed Zakaria or Jared Diamond.
Fiction: Lolita, Immortality (Kundera), The Slaughterhouse Five, The Grapes of Wrath, American Psycho, The Catcher in the Rye.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living and working 3 years in Madagascar has been the defining experience of my life so far.

I could talk about Madagascar for hours to anyone so inclined to listen, and the relationship of developing and more developed countries of the world.
