About Me

Hi, I'm new to Couch surfing so I don't have any recommendations yet. However, you can check me on my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/rodrigo.gonzalez.716970?fref=ts and please feel free to send me an email on rodrigao1994@hotmail.com

I'm an plastic artist and I love studying and researching art around the world. Currently in the US developing my studies in Columbus, OH.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm very interested in getting to know more about this "cultural exchange" which is couchsurfing. Also interested in seeing art from different cities.

Interests

Visual Arts (RIchard Serra, Carl Andre, Andy Warhol, Bruce Nauman, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Joseph Kosuth, Jac Leirner, Carlos Fajardo, etc etc), cinema (Godard, the Cohen brothers, Almodovar, Bergman…), television (House of Cards, American Horror Story, United States of Tara) and others...

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite US ones are: Sunset Boulevard, Death Becomes Her, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, All about Eve.

I love listening to music, but I've got a very narrow taste. I only seem to like down, kind of melancholic musics such as Edith Piaf, Barbara (from France), Maysa (from Brazil)…

I don't read as much as I watch movies, but I enjoy Clarice Lispector a lot. But honestly, I'll always prefer comic books. Just read a great one called "Asteryos Polyp". Really interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Discovered the most amazing and mysterious garden in Lisbon that nobody knew about, not even my native Portuguese friends (would be glad to talk more about it).

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching what I can. I can share experiences from traveling around Brazil, and also on French and Portuguese!

What I Can Share with Hosts

All they would like to know about Brazil! I'd be glad to share a couch in the future if that's the case :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
