About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to work out my way in life

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty relaxed kind of person, very fond of spending long whiles talking, watching movies, reading, and other indoors activities, but am open to outdoors activities too (I'm pretty fond of walking).

I'm not much of a party animal but will happily go out for a drink or to a reunion with friends. Also live rock or jazz places are my favourite.

I love the arts, am a bit of a writer and a photographer. I'm an avid learner and love hearing about any sort of interesting things people have to share.

In general I think I'm pretty laid back, open minded and agreeable.

PHILOSOPHY

Try not to fuck it up too much?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to host many different kinds of people, show them around and maybe surfing from time to time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted several people, from France, Colombia, England an México. This year (2014) I expect to have my first experiences as a surfer, wich I look forward to since my experience as a host has been a lot of fun.

Interests

Cinematography, literature, poetry, science, any art or cultural topic, photography, travelling and life.
I have some pretty geeky interests (such as videogames, and comics) but I am not a die-hard fanatic.
I guess that if there is something that I am openly passionate about is any writing or reading-related subject (I hope to one day work as a writer) and movies (I'm more than a bit of a film buff).

Music, Movies, and Books

It is really hard for me to pick favorites of any sort, but I particularly enjoy movies by Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Wong Kar-wai, Darren Aronofsky, Eliseo Subiela, Julio Medem, Park Chan-Wok, Roman Polanski and Federico Fellini, I've no qualms over specific genres.

Books I've mostly read works by Latin American authors (García Márquez, Cortázar, Gelman, Benedetti) but also enjoy Arthur Conan Doyle, A. C. Clarke, Oscar Wilde and C. Bukowski.

I'm into very different sorts of music, but rock, jazz, metal, and house are my big hits. Most genres I don't mind even if I'm not super litterate on what's what

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just recently some friends and I went to what is called a "Magic Town" (local tourism term for little towns with a lot of history, traditions or cultural hubs) called Cuetzalan, we went hiking, swimming in a freezing cold waterfall and spent one of the funnest weekends I've had in a long time

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't think I'm one to teach, but I can share what I know about films, latin american literature, many different fun facts and the like. I'm also quite willing to learn neat stuff you can teach.
