Cancelled rent, quit my job and said farewell to my life in the Netherlands to start a new life as a full time travel writer/digital nomad!

Besides writing for and selling stories to magazines and websites, I also have my own website at www.beatthetrail.com. Here I share adventurous travel stories and outdoor/hiking related info and guides!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a year living in Thailand in 2003, hitch-hiked across Europe several times, crossed the length of the Scottish highlands on foot.

Also maybe world-record holder of abstaining from finishing college. Don't know if this counts.
