About Me

I'm passionate about growth and improvement. It's important to be a great friend as well as a great human being. I feel like traveling and being open to new experiences helps me with that. I enjoy yoga, backpacking, and rock climbing. Growing up in Chicago, I've really started to yearn to be outdoors more.

I traveled for work as a consultant. I've seen almost all 50 states in the US. I should keep track of it sometime, but feel free to ask me anything!

I do enjoy the finer things from time to time, especially a good scotch and a medium rare steak.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was on a sabbatical from work and decided to do some traveling. Travelled through Australia, NZ, and SE Asia. I've met some amazing people through my travels It was great to meet new connections and learn about the places that they've chosen to make home :)

Back home in the States, and thrilled to host all the people I've met and those looking to travel America.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm guilty of loving cheesy 90's blockbusters. Love the The Rock with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage. Independence Day is a classic. And Armageddon has me crying every time.

I'm an avid reader, primarly in non-fiction books. Steven Levitt, Malcolm Gladwell, Covey, etc. Trying to branch out more - Book list for 2017:

Fiction:
Middlesex , Norwegian Wood, Unbearable lightness of being, The Man in the High Castle

Fever Pitch, Why does the world exist, Myth of a strong leader, The Gene, Hillbilly Elegy, The war of art , The Tao of Pooh , Shoe Dog, Born a Crime
