About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To break free.
ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly and kind person, but I'm not an in your face type. I enjoy good conversation and good food. I like making things. I'm a ponderer who gets excitable sometimes, but usually I'm fairly quiet and enjoy people watching and using all of my senses to learn about things. I wonder what kinds of people will want to traipse through my living room.
PHILOSOPHY
Peoples is peoples. (from the Muppets Take Manhattan)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Footsoldier? Dunno yet. What's there to do besides offer my couch and try to occupy others' couches and hope for some interesting experiences in the process?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Three nights in Kamakura. I'm a newb. I have however slept on couches in Tokyo, Freiburg (Germany), California, Washington state, Chicago and probably other places, too. I like futons. I'm less fond of pull-outs. Too springy.
Have now hosted once. It was fun to hang out and chat.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basic taiko skills and philosophy. Some say I give good life advice, though I'm starting to think there is greater merit in keeping such things to myself and being sympathetic instead. Things I want to know include western herbalism, gardening and woodshop skills. Also, any language besides English is fascinating to me.
