ABOUT ME

I graduated from Univeristy in June, and embarked on a year travelling, volunteering and language learning. I spent 6 months working at a microfinance bank in Cambodia, helping the rural poor to develop businesses, and I'm now spending 6 months in Beijing studying Chinese.

I try my best to get involved as much as possible, and love new experiences. I've hitchhiked to Morrocco, taught in Hong Kong and played competitive dodgeball. I've starred in a French TV commercial, spent a year walking around Paris, and tried kick boxing in Cambodia.

I enjoy talking to and learning from people with different experiences and backgrounds to me. I consider myself friendly and down-to-earth

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

'wow' moments that might not be particularly unique, but have left an impact on me.

Vietnam: Watching peasants tilling the fields from the sleeper-train window as sun rose over the Hué mountains during my first trip to Asia.

Morocco: Watching camels plodding through the desert as the sun set and the stars came out, and our train rumbled on to Fez.

Cambodia: Walking down a pot-holed street on a sweaty tropical night, and looking up to see huge nimbus clouds rolling over themselves in the sky - the same serene image you could see anywhere on the globe. This might seem pretty innocuous, but had an effect on me.

Vietnam: Arriving before 5am into Dalat, a sleepy Alpine-style old colonial mountain resort; and watching the sun rise, the mist recede and school children go to school.

China: Living in Harbin. Walking on the frozen river, and watching people living their lives on and across it (walking the dog; flying kites; driving cars).
