Traveling in Ethiopia

ABOUT ME

I had the first level of diploma from architecture school. I'll spent 3 months in Addis-Abeba with Esther, my girlfriend, to discover Ethiopia (culture, architecture, know-how, ...) I don't really worry much. I live each day as it comes. I like to meet people and to exchange opinions over a drink. I hope my trip will be rich in meetings, in experiences and in discoveries.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that it are very important to meet people, coming various universes, in order to open my mind and question me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Thank's to CouchSurfing, I can travel in a world country and, in the same time, I can stay with the locals and discover their culture, their gastronomy. But also thank's to this network, I can welcome the more traveler I can when I will go back in my home town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couchsurfing during my last trips in Australia and Central America. It was a very good experience. I met friendly people and I discovered lot of no touristic places. I often lent my couch for friends, friends of friend, or family and this was perfect. And when I'm welcome by a friend, I try to don't derange him and I respect his way of life.

- Music (Rock, Electronic, Classical, I have a vynil turntable and I like heard the cracklings of a good old disc...)
- Cinema (movies report, action movies, art-house movies...)
- Architecture (Tadao Ando, Frank Lord Wright, Peter Zumthor, Shigeru ban)
- Reading (novel or comic strip...)
- Scouting (I was boy scouts,and I learnt lot of things thanks to this mouvement)

Music, Movies, and Books

- Regarding the cinematographic art, I have recently liked the Iranian film, a Separation. Oserwise, I like The Godfather and Pulp Fiction.
- In the music category, I love Dire Straits, Brassens, Rolling Stones...In fact, I like lot of différents musical style.
- I'm not a heavy reader, but I love bury me in a book when I have some time. I like a lot Paolo Coelho, Sylvain Tesson and Jack Kerouac.
