that's probably the word my friends would use haha

I've got a ton of interests, from linguistics to foraging for wild plants to biology. I'm also very intellectually curious: I enjoy learning about almost any subject, and I love diving into other cultures and languages. I'm trying to travel to every country I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted, I've surfed, and now I'm looking for places to stay in my future travels. I graduate from college in May 2014, and after that I'm headed for Montana, the West Coast, and then South America.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a summer in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and there I met people in the Couchsurfing community and hosted a surfer. There were no youth hostels (and few English speakers!) in Tajikistan, so we all banded together and found things to do, which was fantastic!

兴趣

I love to travel! I've been to most of Western and Central Europe, and I've seen a lot of the USA, but I'd love to go and see East Asia (I've also been to Tajikistan, Central America, and the Caribbean). I was raised in the US and my father's from Germany, so I speak English, German, and Spanish.
I love being outdoors--hiking, running in the woods, being on the water--anything outside
I like to bike, swim, kayak, run, do yoga, and I kitesurf sometimes too.
I cook when I can, and I'm especially interesting in learning how to cook foods from different countries. I'm very interested in international politics (I'm studying International Relations at Tufts University in Boston) and foreign cultures and languages.
