About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mich in der Weltgeschichte rumtreiben :)

ABOUT ME

I am a philologist. I studied Spanish at university (my mother tongue) but I'm into almost all the languages. I like to compare them and see in which points they are similar to each other or not. It's an easier way to learn them.

I used to teach Spanish in Romania (2011) and Turkey (2013) and worked as an librarian intern in France (2012)
Moved to Norway (2015) where I worked as a tour guide. Then, came back to Almería, my home town, where I work as a Spanish teacher at an NGO for seekers of political asylum

PHILOSOPHY

Traveling just for a week? You'd better move there and learn something more ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently living in Almería (Spain) at a neighbourhood by the sea and so close to the city centre.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now I only have had one experience. A kind dude from Cameroon living in Marseille offered me his humble place to stay there for a night. I wish I had more experiences to tell.

Interests

My province: Almería (Spain).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've participated at an international Congress of Linguistics where I didn't expect to be.

I felt like a local at a former soviet sauna in Tallinn and at a non-touristic hammam in Oujda, a Moroccan city on the border with Algeria. So any lake suggestion to have a bath? :D

Traveling alone is my religion.

Teach, Learn, Share

Any doubt with Spanish language? I'm your man!

I would like to learn whatever mother tongue you have :) Nowadays I'm getting a lot of Russian and Ukrainian words at my lessons due to the origine of my current students.

I can share Spanish food. I find also interesting cultural exchange by means of conversations about currently world situation, habits, way of life, and so on.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Potatoes + eggs + olive oil (and a pan). Let me be the owner and chef of your kitchen for a while and i'll prepare a humble Spanish omelette for you :-)
