About Me

Hello CS'ers! My name is Remy and I am currently working as a Software Engineer at Olisto in Amsterdam (but working remotely from Dublin). Furthermore, I do and have done multiple sports and have many hobbies, but most of my time is spent in doing Ballroom (and Latin) dancing. Besides the regular training, I'll join in competitions every so often. Besides the dancing, there are way too many things which I enjoy doing: snowboarding, rowing, playing piano or guitar, cooking, long distance cycling, gaming (video and board), ......, etc. If I would have to describe myself in three words, they would be: active, spontaneous and 'gezellig' (Dutch word for which there is no true translation!) I love 'gezelligheid', whether it is in the form of cooking and eating together, going out, watching a movie, playing a game of cards, I'm always up for it! Even though I'm always active and always doing things, there's always room for more and especially a spontaneous action.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I do not have much experience with hosting surfers or surfing hosters. I have only hosted two people and surfed once in Warsawa and twice in Napoli. However, I have hosted and attended several events such as game nights. Furthermore, I try to participate in events every now and again and every year I join in for the Delft Jazz Festival. The people I meet there are amazing. Just one of those night is what the couchsurfing spirit is about.
