I'm working to make energy geeks sexy and famous :)
I'm renewable energy and sustainable innovations enthusiast, promoting green and smart energy as opportunity for communities and startups. We do cool things like open-air solar-powered energy hackathons and other activities to grow the makers culture in the energy field.
I love exploring new ideas, hunting for hidden meanings, understanding how things work - and sharing this knowledge. The passion to making complex ideas understandable, digestible, un-scary and un-boring has led me to 2 very important milestones (or movements to be better characteristics) of my life: Greencubator and TEDxKyiv.
"Night Flight" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry resonates very well with my personal philosophy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For now I had just one, but truly fun Couchsurf - was hosted in Hannover by vet students, and it was a lot to exchange and learn. And cooking Ukrainian-German-Dutch borshch (Ukrainian traditional dish) for 12 people was a real fun :)
My biggest love beyond my loved ones and my mission is in bridges. Yes, I love bridges: seen, walking or driving through them, reading about them and their creators, sometimes modeling them with my daughter.
I love jazz, impressionist art, Banksi, Interesni Kazky, The Beatles, duets by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and enjoy great movies (from 12 Angry Man to Skyfall and Inception). And Steve Jobs gives a lot of inspiration for my work.
Cooking for friends, working with power-tools and home improvement, washing dishes also make me smile :)
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movies are "12 Angry Men", "Forrest Gump", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Gravity", "Inception", "The Lake House".
My favorite authors are Stanislav Lem, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I'm currently reading "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert Pircing - truly amazing book! And surely, "The Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy" is my most quoted book :)
My musical tastes vary from classic jazz to modern electronic. I love old good Radiohead and Daftpunk along with Ocean Elzy and Zemfira.
