Objectively, one of the best way of travelling, meeting new people and deeply immerse yourself in a foreign culture

I'm really curious to find out more about foreign culture, about the way of living in different parts of the globe. I'm more than happy that I've found new friends with whom I met by this amazing project!

Interests

I really enjoy walking or riding a bicycle around my hometown, just listening to the music or a podcast, finding new places and finding something new in the places I'd been to before. I love my hometown. Even if you are exploring Saint-Petersburg for ages, every time you will learn something new about it

I'm actually a big fan of cinematography. Now and then, I can lock myself away to watch movies or tv-series for the whole weekend

Since I started learning English, I fell in love with British pronunciation and humor. I keen on discovering different British accents and listening to some stand-up comedians, as well as watching classical British tv-shows. That's awesome

What else? A few years ago I decided to be a vegetarian and I'm interested in topics of different vegetarian diets, in topics of how we can defend our planet from rapid destruction and what contribution I'm able to do

I also like finding out about cutting-edge technologies, about new devices and gadgets. That always excites me to think about the future and how the world will change over time. Will we colonize other planets? No one can answer it, yet

Electronic music is a new interest of mine and I'm now at the stage of discovering new artists and events to get deeper into this culture

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical and contemporary movies. Not that new blockbusters (I don't want to be pretension but I'm just not into it) but the movies which make our world more peaceful and tolerant place, which highlight worldwide problems, which make you think for days after you've seen them, which can be classified as true art but not time consuming. There is a small list of authors' names I love: Ang Lee, Chaplin, Kubrick, Haneke, Lynch, Kieslowsky, Fellini, Bunuel, Godar, Polanski, Kurosawa, Tarkovsky, Zvyagintsev...

I love all sorts of music with a few exceptions, from classical geniuses to modern electronic music. The music from 60s to 90s as garage and psychedelic rock, r'n'r, reggae, funk, soul, nuwave, synthpop, old school hip-hop and some indie, britpop, nurave – almost everything gladdens my ears. Since recently, more than other genres I'm listening to electronic music, such stuff as darkwave, techno, coldwave, ghetto house etc.

Reading is a real pleasure to me. When I have time, mostly I read some dystopian literature – it feeds my mind and makes me think of the current situation in the country I was born

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably, climbing to the top of mountains in Siberia close to Baikal lake. The mountains weren't too high but difficulties came with the lack of climbing skills and equipment. Risky but amazing at the same time!
