ABOUT ME

I am a very adventurous person and creative too. I write poetry, I ski , I cycle , I love dancing. I have a 20 year old son who has begun to be inspired this way too. I intend to travel a lot now I no longer work much. I live in london but very much want to live in France. I lived in france and switzerland for many years and feel European not english. I would be happy to expand my sense of identity to the whole world but am more interested in in depth experience than brief encounters. I laugh a lot at myself mostly!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am about to go to iceland for 5wks. I hope to meet some surfers - it clearly attracts my sort of people! I will host when i return.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet ! My son got me interested. He went to China to learn mandarin and do crazy things with other adventures. Now 2 are big friends. I hope to discover a deeper sense of the rich diversity of the peoples in places I go and inspire visiters to walk the paths less travelled

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Beethovan - his emotinality, and early to 60's genuine jazz and blues. Any music that speaks of powerful human experience ! I hate hollywood blockbusters and love whimsical films such as black cat white cat - which reminded me so much of Yugoslavia (as it was - home on husband no 1) I love Ursula le Guin especially Earthsea trilogy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hail stones as big as plums on a rocky swiss mountain. Bed bugs in chalets!
Grass snakes green as moss and still as stone
snow so dry it dances high and wild in the wind
tears of joy for lifes blessings

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share what i know, I like to hear of life from beyond my own. Sharing can be simple or profound. It mostly happens by chance. Increasing the chances is a wise move.
