Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CS because I've had several friends commenting on the great experiences they've had in this community. As such, I'm excited to create similar stories of my own. I'd love to find people who can help me getting to know the place I visit in a way which isn't just completing the main tourist attractions checklist and moving on.
I would enjoy being able to host in Portugal, but I currently live in a college dorm so it just isn't possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I've liked rock for as long as I can remember. These days, I listen to a lot of post rock and some indie.

Movies:
Pretty big fan of dramas, but most genres work. I love movies that are able to pull off a good plot twist or that are overall mind-blowing.

Books:
I was a pretty big fantasy geek in the past. In recent years, I've turned to books about psychiatry and atheism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Describing something I've done as amazing seems kind of pretentious, doesn't it?
In my mind, a marathon of LOTR extended version in one day is pretty amazing. Biking 700km along the portuguese atlantic coast is also amazing.
