Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To spend some time living and travelling in South America, to learn Spanish and meet people
ABOUT ME
Having worked as an engineer, developing wind farms for a good few years I am currently taking some time out to give more time and energy to the nice things that had up until then taken a backseat e.g. sleeping, music, travel, reading, having a laugh, sleeping etc. I am a big fan of nature and have just spent three wonderful years living by the sea on the south west coast of Ireland. I think I am really easy going and try to be as considerate as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
Balance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't participated yet, but having travelled for the last few months I have really enjoyed staying and spending time with local people in their homes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None officially to date, but like most people have a good decade under the belt of providing or crashing on couches/floors when the need arises.
Over the past few months I have been staying with people through a service called Airbnb and so you can find some of my references there if you like. https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/4031002
Interests
Music has been a great companion over the years. I play guitar and sing a bit and love going to see live music. Particularly the more intimate gigs which we are lucky to have so many of in around the south west coast of Ireland.
I have always been fairly active and love to get into the sea, go up mountains, climb walls, kick or hit a ball with a stick etc. In recent years I have been getting into yoga and for a while longer I have been enjoying learning about and practicing meditation. Good stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The other day I saw a strong wind stop a waterfall from falling and send it vertically up into the air. I thought that was pretty cool.
