About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting lost in life's meaningful distractions.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently pursuing a career as a solicitor. When I'm not working, I like to try get out and see some good music or art. I love having the opportunity to keep up my languages and meet like-minded people from across the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Honesty, Generosity and a sense of Adventure are all you need. It always comes back around in the end.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had a great time staying with some wonderfully open and welcoming couchsurfers in Santiago de Chile. I've also hosted a few lovely couchsurfers from time to time, and I've been delighted to meet the occasional backpacker for a pint even if I've not had a couch to spare.

Hopefully I'll be able to get more involved now that I live in Dublin! I can certainly meet people for coffee/pints and give tips about things to do, and I might, from time to time, be able to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to couch surfing by a friend I met in a hostel in Lima, he put me onto friends in Santiago and I had a great time!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to lots of different kinds of music, everything from rock to soul, hip hop to techno/house. Some of my favourite artists would be: blur, the Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Queens of the Stoneage, Jurassic 5, 9 Lazy 9, Amon Tobin, Martyn, 2562, Andy Stott, Nicolas Jaar etc...

I like watching movies, although i'm more likely to sit at home and watch them than go to the cinema. Anything but jumpy Horror and chic-flics, although that said, I do like good vintage cheesy horror.

I like to read a lot, a mixture of classics, sci-fi and contemporary fiction. Favourite books/authors would be: Ernest Hemmingway, Chuck Palanhuik, Nick Hornby, Tolkien (the hobbit really, LOTR was a bit unreadable), Game of Thrones, Alexandre Dumas (I´ve only read Count of Monte Cristo, but intend to read more!.) Some other favourite classics would be Moby Dick (melville) Dracula (stoker) and Frankenstine (Shelly).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my trip to south america, i managed to bus it all the way south from just south of the equator to the southern most city in the world! A fantastic experience made bearable by the above average quality of buses in Peru/chile/argentina!

I also spent 4.5 months working with the disabled in Missiones, in North-Eastern Argentina. Such a fun time! So many massive hearts!
