About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've travelled a bit over the past 2 and a half years to find where I am now. I found Sun Valley, Idaho, on a road trip and never left. IT'S THAT GOOD! This place is humble, small, innovative and active. Come visit and let me show you this beautiful gem of a town in the mountains.

Now I can finally host some couchsurfers and pay-it-forward for all of the beautiful times I've had staying with others around the world.

I'm a happy guy on a mission to open my mind to new things and follow some dreams. Im a Capricorn (I'm not a huge astrology guy but I see the significance in my personality) that's pretty free spirited but has a directive at the same time. My snowboarding and craftsman background guides me through my adventures. I'm honest, a 'clean as he goes' kind of guy, a guy who loves to laugh and hold interesting conversations. I usually have a pretty big smile on my face and would help the old lady across the street carry in her groceries given the opportunity.

PHILOSOPHY

I love moving with the present and following the guiding force that influences me every step of the way. Its easy to loose focus of this but when it's there, I feel more alive than ever. I follow what I love and treat people with respect. Karma will give me exactly what I deserve.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've become a traveler and I dont know when or if I'll ever stop moving. I love the community of people who are curious about the world and are not scared to seek out something new. People who travel are powerful! They have a sense of reality unlike the kids back home. We've left the cave and we cannot go back. We can only relate with those who have been outside the box. I feel very connected to these people in so little time thanks to their vast view of the planet. CS helps me get in touch with the people who know their town well and love to show it. I love tagging along and look forward to a day when I can show guests my favorite place to live.

Interests

I love being spontaneous, randomly jumping onto and off of obstacles, meeting new people, checking out places with a story behind them, looking beyond the surface, taking things apart and putting them back together (better than they were before), woodworking, being in solitude, resurrecting ideas into three dimensional form, being artistic playing with pets, getting extreme, enjoying a coupe beers, staying up late, getting good rest, waking up and throwing on a snowboard video to get excited about the day!

Music, Movies, and Books

Book of Five Rings (currently)
The Big Lebowski (always)
Modest Mouse and RHCP (forever)

Alt-J Flume, Allison Wonderland, Lorde and Purity Ring are the artists who've created my nostalgic 2015 Wanderlust playlist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recovered from a compound fracture of my tib/fib in 2011. I overshot a 70 foot (23 M) jump on my snowboard. 3 surgeries and 7 months later, I was snowboarding again. That experience taught me some very cherished lessons.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a great listener and love to hear people's stories. It's easy for me to appreciate a good person and show them that I care. Tell me what you feel and I'm sure we'll drift into a conversation, if you're looking for one.
I've learned a lot in the past few years: spiritually, professionally, artistically, about self-reliance, and personal relationships just to name a few. I like to share my perspectives with people and give advice where I can. If we end up on the mountain or on the beach, I'd gladly teach you a radical trick! I'm my best version of a coach on a snowboard and can break down each step necessary to put a new trick in your bag.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Moments.
I love a bit of adventure. Whether it be a walk through the woods or the sound of your insight on how to route a trip through Argentina, I'd love to share the moment you.
Remember, I'm a carpenter so Im a handy guy to have around in case youre in need. I love cooking with people. It's not the meal thats important to me as much as the creative and friendly company. let's chat, explore and have fun because that's the reason we're here!
