I am a cellist and singer-songwriter. I work at an alternative high school and teach lessons and perform in the evenings, weekends, and summertime. I like to stay politically involved with my community and hope to gain more volunteer experience working towards women's rights as well as environmental issues.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2017, I volunteered in Tavernier, Florida at the Coral Restoration Foundation. I stayed in Homestead, FL on a mango and avocado farm where I worked in exchange for board. On my way down, I couch surfed in Memphis.

The next adventure will be to the Yucatan Peninsula! I'll be in Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Cozumel, Tulum, Coba, and Valladolid. I'm getting my advanced open water scuba certification then volunteering for ocean conservation projects. My friend will be meeting me there after I'm done with those. I'll have a tent and my plans aren't for certain yet, but I'm pretty sure I've figured out where all I'll be staying!

My only need at the moment is for a place to stay in Denver on May 19th. My flight gets in to the DIA at 9pm and leaves the next morning at 7am.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music! I am a musician who plays cello, violin, viola, piano, and more. I learn very quickly!

I love all movies except gore... I have a weak stomach and can't handle stuff like that.

I'm pretty easy to please as you can tell. I'm currently reading Cold Mountain, though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a non-certified music therapist in my community, a community projects leader, and the leader in a band. I single-handedly collected recycling in my city during the NCAA tournament when it was here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach self defense, violin, viola, cello, piano, and yoga! I can teach a lot more. I have the teacher blood and will milk any amount of information I know to teach anyone something.

Music lessons; philosophical conversations; creative related skills - sewing, crochet, knitting, embroidery, etc... ; yardwork/landscaping/physical labor; childcare; cleaning; cooking.
