About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be more exciting than the other native Chicago suburbanites.

ABOUT ME

Up until now I have just been saving money to travel and I have finally gotten the opportunity. However, on a college kids salary seeing the world is one of the harder feats. But, this is not the only reason I joined this website. The best part about traveling is the people you meet and the stories that they have to tell. These really enrich the experience. I don't just want to travel the world, I want to experience it as well and this can only be done by talking to somebody living there. Very sarcastic and love Into the Wild! If you haven't read it you should!!

PHILOSOPHY

Stop saying you'll do it later because you won't. Accomplishing your dreams isn't for later. I'm a firm believer in life being too short for this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host families with couch surfing because I am staying with a family as a part of my study abroad program, but once I get back to the states I definitely can! So for now I am only surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to surf but I am trying!

Interests

I am interested in experiencing the world, it's a full time job.

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the Wild is the best book-->movie EVER!
Also love Boondock Saints (my family is very Irish at least for Americans)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Morocco I talked to a man about the bracelets he was selling. He told me about each little hammer mark he bent into the bracelet and what it signified in his culture. I was absorbed in his words and an hour later I realized I had almost missed my bus home. That has been the most amazing experience I have had yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people a Chicago accent, and a love for adventure (hopefully). I am very open to learning and love comparing and contrasting culture!
