I'm a former University Lecturer from small-town Australia who has been travelling the world since early 2015! (An indefinite career-break!) Travelling the world is my biggest passion and I love meeting new and like-minded people along the way. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going to be spending the next few months back-packing around the USA & Canada and I would love somewhere to rest my head at night! Meeting some great people along the way is an added bonus! :)

Interests

My background is in both design and photography – I love all things creative, including music (R&B and soul), theatre, colonial architecture, food, hiking, scrambling and of course travelling the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite artists include Brandy, Beyoncé, Dawn Richard, Amel Larrieux, Miguel, Frank Ocean, Jhené Aiko, Jazmine Sullivan & Tinashe.

I have a really broad interest in film and television, but I am a huge fan of animated movies, unconventional comic book/super-hero movies (Sin City, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Kick Ass, Deadpool, etc.) and anything comedy.

I only really started reading as a hobby this year, but some of my favourite books include Ender's Game, The Hunger Games, I Am Pilgrim, The Help & The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A month before my grandmother passed away I was fortunate enough to take her to Europe to celebrate her 87th birthday. We spent 2 amazing weeks cruising around Scandinavia – I can't imagine a more amazing way to remember her life and the time we shared together.
