ABOUT ME

I am an avid enthusiast of nature and animals, learning about both... I'm passionate about cooking and love to try new foods wherever I go.. (Yes; crocodile DOES in fact taste like chicken.) I love peace and contemplation time, there are only a few things better than settling down into a good book. I also love hitting the town and putting my party pants on! Spontaneity is the spice of life (and Hell, I need SOME spice, as my tongue can't cope with any spicy food! -I dont know what I will eat in Asia... uhoh-)

OH, and I make the BEST pizza and lasagne. Seriously, mine is EVEN BETTER THAN YOUR MUMS! ;-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Testing couch springs, going to group events if my fancy is tickled and supposing I have time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Almost all of the couchsurfers I have met and interacted with for longer than a short period of time have all been wonderful people. I've hosted a couple of people -whilst travelling myself-, which has been fun, and I look forward to opening my own home (whenever it might be that I get one) to the wonderful and ever changing experience that is couchsurfing.

兴趣

Two things I am interested in are hypnosis and poker... I'm GREAT at one and entirely mediocre at the other... I'll let you guess which.

I'm also into meditation, lucid dreaming (as hard as I continue to try, it still eludes me!), philosophy, psychology, cooking, dining, exploring, adventuring, learning and sharing, playing the didgeridoo and the piano, photographing, singing, comedy, live music, dressing up, fooling around, making inappropriate comments, not-dancing.

I would love to get PADI certified so I could do more fun things underwater. And I might even consider skydive tandem training, as I loved my first jump so much! Oh.. and I'm teaching myself to become a body-piercer (I did all of my piercings -and stretchings- myself).

Movies by Tarantino are great. I love horror films (I prefer old horror films, Christopher Lee etc). I absolutely love comedy, and I always have time for it.

There's a TV cartoon called "Archer" about a misogynistic secret agent... Archer is basically me in disguise (a very thinly veiled disguise). haha.

My music tastes range from electronic to jazz, ambient to heavy metal, rock n roll to swing, classical to gypsy punk... Yeah. Favourite band is Nine Inch Nails currently.

I like to read books by Richard Dawkins, Milton Erickson, Robert Greene, Anton LaVey, Derren Brown, Stephen King, Jonathan Chase, Doyle Brunson, Ayn Rand, Aristotle, Dan Brown, Arthur Conan Doyle, Dean Koontz, Mark Gatiss, Neil Strauss, oh, and who could forget the legendary Douglas Adams! (I have my towel)

Kawarau bridge bungee jump! I got wet (not in my pants)
Skydived over Franz Josef/Fox Glaciers and Mount Cook. It was spectacular and over too fast!
Survived the Christchurch February earthquake. Perhaps the most terrifying and awe-inspiring overall experience I have ever had.
Swam with (and stroked) a Green Turtle at the Great Barrier Reef
Stood at the end of Hanging Rock (Blue Mountains).
Visited Uluru.
Climbed Mountains in Wilsons Promontory.
Also, all of my stage shows and performances as a musician and a hypnotist have been wonderful fun!

I can ramble on about hypnosis for a good hour or two.
