ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Rosanna and I guess I'm a real magician at heart. I so love to travel.I'm lucky that my work takes me to some awesome places globally which makes for lots of interesting stories to share. I love to meet new people, enjoy new cultures and cuisine and I love to laugh.

Just a little about myself, I'm a professional Magician/Illusionist ... yes you did read that correctly. I’ve been performing professionally for over 23yrs, I’ve also written, produced and performed pantomimes all over the world and I love my work with a passion.

I love adventure and to explore new places. I’m truly interested in people, hearing their stories and their philosophies.

Cooking is close to my heart. My signature dishes are a yummy Jungle Thai Curry and in winter I do a delicious Irish lamb shanks on mash. I also love cooking Italian dishes inspired by my Mumma. You'll find I'll enjoy any opportunity to cook.

PHILOSOPHY

I strongly believe in Karma and what goes around, comes around. If you're good to people, people are generally good to you.

It's important to me to leave things better then I find them, I feel this is my responsibility as a member of humanity, to contribute wherever I can..

I’ve performed for charities and have worked for Red Cross as a Volunteer. I’ve also been a professional Clown Doctor in hospitals... no I don’t fix broken clowns but I did entertain sick children in hospitals for 15yrs, all over Australia .

It’s important to me to allowing people to feel good about themselves and about the world. I love to make people laugh and enjoy creating magical moments & wonder.

Life to me is like eating a ripe delicious mango....its rich, juicy, a little messy at times but hopefully there’s a great big satisfying smile at the end of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to connect with like minded people. I feel that I’ve a lot to give and I want to connect and contribute wherever I can. I also like to ensure that people are having a great experience around me and in my city.

Interests

I love music , to sing and dance bring joy to my heart. I love adventures, exploring great places . I really enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories, ideas and delicious food.

Music, Movies, and Books

World movies (I don't mind the subtitles), classic movies and docos. My favourits movie is "Farineli", a must see, and
“Into the Wild"...very inspirational .
Love to read when I have the time and really enjoy bio's. I also love anything with imagination and flare.
Music is a must in my life and I enjoy all types of music from Jamiroquai, Angus and Julia Stone, Paul Kelly, Red hot chillipeppers, Jackson5, 80 music to Aeroplane, Coldplay, Groove Armada,Jimi Hendrix, Daft Punk, Keb mo, Caribou, and everything in between... and I really dislike both kinds of "Country" and "Western" ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is hard, I've so many ... Here are a few things:
One of the most amazing thing I've done is walk the Great wall of China with a tracker for 10days. Truly Amazing!!!! Sometimes we were the only people as far as the eye could see. This trek was to raise funds for charity. I raised $16,000 which I'm very proud of.

also I’ve Bungee Jumped the "Pipe-line" over Skippers canyon in New Zealand (2nd highest bungee in the world at the time) A Definite “WooHOoo” Moment!!!

Being flown to perform in Papua New Guinea. I had the fabulous opportunity to “Wow” the Governor General, Treasury Minister and many, many guests with my magic for Kina Finance Banquet Ball. To this day, I have made some very dear friends from that experience which I treasure.

Teach, Learn, Share

The Ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to learn and to teach. I so could teach you how to play in about 10min.
I'll also share how to Cook, Paint or teach you yoga (1st level Ashtanga) if you're willing. For those who enjoy languages and culture I maybe even share a little spoken Italian or italian cooking

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share stories and Ideas, philosophies, history with you. I also enjoy to cook and to sit and enjoy a fabulous meal together over a good conversation.

I’m happy to teach you italian, play or teach you the Ukulele and I may even show you some of my dazzling magic.
