ABOUT ME

I grew up moving around the Australian countryside, from the red & dusty deserts of the west to the tropical forests of the east, living in an array of houses/caravans/busses/de-railed trains along the way. Not the most conventional childhood, but it instilled the beauty of new places and people in me from a very young age.

I just got back to Australia after living in Italy for the past few years. Nice to be back in our wide open spaces!

So far I've only been hosted as have been moving about a fair bit lately, but am looking forward to having a couch and host some people myself!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some absolutely beautiful people who have shown me fantastic things about their towns that i would have never discovered otherwise. What better way to get off the "tourist trail."

Some favourites are Pink Floyd, Queen, Kate Bush, Sam Cooke, Neil Young, Francesco Guccini, Fabrizio de Andre, Lou Reed, Johnny Cash ..

Am a big fan of films, lots of sci-fi, fav directors would have to be Cronenberg, Lynch, Altman, John Waters, Polanski Steven King (for the b-grade fun) ANYTHING by monty python, lots of cheesy 80s comedies, most things with steve martin and i love disney's aladdin

Douglas Adams, EA Poe...I mainly read non-fiction books about science. It's a bit like Mark Twain said, truth is stranger than fiction!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

seeing mount etna erupt for the first time was something really impressive! la festa di sant'agata in Sicily was like something out of the middle ages, to be seen for sure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook, and love to learn new recipes (and teach them too!) I'm trying to learn spanish at the moment, so any spanish speakers that want to chat is always a good thing.
