ABOUT ME

I'd say im a fairy, a small elf. I grew up on a farm with lots of plants and animals, looking after the earth is something that i am most passionate about and i would be most happy to help out around your home in anyway i can. Im a dreamer and a painter, i love film photography, i am a hoarder of trinkets, antiques, i love reading, i love comic books and street art. Music is my love, to listen to, to create, makes me very happy. I'm an old timey lady stuck in the 21st century. I grew up in a hippy home, with almonds and dates and no lollies or fizzy drink. My dad is a green thumb, forevergardening horticulturalist, my mother a writer and a teacher of jazz, tap & ballet, my older sister is a snow fairy & a yoga teacher, so i have some pretty amazing influences in my life. I believe in the universe and the concept of asking it for what you really need in life. Im always thinking about things in a positive way. and im very aware you only live this life once so best to make the most of it! I dont smoke cigarettes, only herbs. i like farm work and prefer small towns and the country over cities..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i surfed all over new zealand and met some incredible people that i will be friends with forever, from young and crazy art students, to lovely homes & families. also lived and worked on an old farm in the Czech Republic.

Interests

I'm down with open minded people, i like to learn new things, i like to hear other peoples philosophies and am eager to give and receive what i can from the idea pool of this universe.
Painting and drawing and creating new things from old things, reusing old junk, making treasure. Wet felting, crystals, magic, dance, yoga, snowboarding, bushwalks, cooking, wine cheese and crackers, making music, being inloooove, camping, living in the bush, roadtripping, station wagons with a mattress :)
I love to travel and meet lots of new and interesting people! I most love to live out of my backpack, no fixed address, people trusting eachother!

I'm a fan of music that makes you think, anything experimental, my sister raised me on old school grunge & my parents got me into all the olden goldies, i like nirvana & dinosaur jnr, the whitest boy alive,
Radiohead! Tom Waits, The Mars Volta, Pixies, Bobby D, Neil Young, Devendra Banhart, Crosby Stills & Nash, Janis Joplin, Cypress Hill, also alot of experimental electronic music, trance and dubstep, drum & bass, i also like hip hop & rap, but only clever wordery, non of the offensive slurrs.. i could happily go ooon and on. i would love to live a life of festivals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Grew up on a magical farm, growing alot of things with my old dad
Looked after goats and chickens since i was a baby
survived Vietnam with my old man
Cambodia with my muminka
Lived in a station wagon missioning around New Zealand with a crazy swedish viking for a year..
took up snowboarding, Worked in snow resorts in Nz & aus
seen alot of things, physical and imaginary
roadied for a few bands for a few years
almost died in a shipwreck at sea
broke my spine in the austria alps, took a doped up heli ride to hospital
sold snowflakes in australia
made over a million coffees in my lifetime
been a cook and chef in a record studio

Teach, Learn, Share

i could make you laugh, i can show u how to knit with your fingers, play guitar, i love word games and appreciate anyone who wants to play them with me, i can teach you a nice ballet routine or help you choreograph a dance, i love craft and could help you make a birthday card. I like spending time with kids & looking after them, imagination is amazing! I appreciate the small & strange things in life and the quirky things about people that make them who they are ^-^
